The Food Bank was honored by the Hellenic Initiative at the 8th Annual Gala in London.

On October 4th, the Food Bank of Greece was honored at the 8th Annual Charity Gala of the Hellenic Initiative for its valuable work and social contribution.

The president of the Athens Food Bank, Panagis Vourloumis, representing the Food Bank of Greece, received the award in recognition of the organization’s significant work in Greece.

In his speech, he stated:

Last year, the Food Banks managed 2,148 tons of various foods, which we distributed to 333 charitable organizations, helping 128,000 people. Over the past 30 years, we have built significant expertise and a solid reputation. None of this would have been possible without the help of individuals and organizations like 'The Hellenic Initiative.' I am honored to receive the award you are presenting to us today, on behalf of all the Food Banks of Greece, all our employees, and volunteers.

The evening was a celebration of solidarity, community, and philanthropy, reinforcing the mission of #TheHellenicInitiative.
