The program was implemented with a monetary donation from the King Baudouin Foundation, in collaboration with the Bodosaki Foundation.
The purpose of the program is to cover the food needs of food banks and charitable organizations that have submitted a request to the Food Bank, but do not participate in its network.
Donations were received by 15 organizations, from Athens and three additional regions of Greece (Drama, Aegina, Aitoloakarnania).
We supported 3,883 people with food, in addition to the 43,000 that the Bank regularly helps Food.
An estimated*, we provided 40,000 portions of food and 3,000 glasses of milk, at a time when food needs are increasing, also due to the economic effects of the pandemic.
*The estimate is based on a methodology from a corresponding state program, with more conservative calculations by 30%.
